Problem or Expense?

I've heard this a few times recently.  When something happens to you like a car malfunction or other repair issue, whether in your personal life or in business, do you look at it as a "problem" or simply an expense?

Framing something as a problem creates negative emotions.  Framing it as simply an expense tends to give it 'temporary inconvenience' status.  Obviously, something can be such a big expense that it is a problem, but that's an altogether different conversation around budgeting. In this context, I'm talking merely about how we frame things in our minds.

The next time you have something frustrating happen in your world, before you react to it, ask yourself, "Is this a problem, or just an expense?" I think you will find that answering that question honestly will remove quite a bit of stress in your daily life.
